Biography:
Gyoumei Himejima is a prominent character in the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is introduced as the Stone Hashira, one of the most powerful and respected members of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Gyoumei is physically imposing and easily identifiable by his immense size and constant tears. Before becoming a Demon Slayer, he was a caretaker at a temple, protecting orphaned children. A tragic encounter with a demon, where he was betrayed by one of the children, led to his imprisonment and eventual recruitment into the Demon Slayer Corps.
He is blind, but compensates with heightened senses and a profound connection to the spiritual world. Gyoumei wields a unique flail and axe weapon, utilizing Stone Breathing techniques to combat demons with incredible strength and precision. He first appears in chapter 45 of the manga.
